The Great Nocturnal Happening takes over the city of Tampere

The Tampere Theatre Festival is here again and The Great Nocturnal Happening is arriving to town on the 4th of August. The Great Nocturnal Happening has been a success during the years and grown steadily. 

Our goal is to make The Great Nocturnal Happening a carnival-like cultural happening, which fills the city with a variety of performances, art experiences and of course people.

The Great Nocturnal Happening is a great opportunity for groups in performing arts and for other cultural organisations to show their talent, but also a chance to participate and contribute to a unique cultural happening in the city of Tampere.

ART

11:00 – 21:00 Sculptures made of recycled materials by Johanna Havimäki. Galleria Himmelblau.

FILMS

21:00 – 23:30 Filmclub Cinemadrome presents short horror comedy ”Bunny The Killer Thing” and softcore comedy ”Die Nichten der Frau Oberst”. Arthouse Cinema Niagara, Kehräsaari.

MUSIC

17:00 – 17:30 Nässyn Pumppu plays Finnish, Scandinavian and Irish folk music. Yard of Pikilinna apartment block, entrance through gates at Väinölänkatu and Ilmarinkatu.

20:00 – 20:30 Tampere Chamber plays Kreisler, Piazzolla, Finnish folksongs and tango. Yard of Pikilinna apartment block, entrance through gates at Väinölänkatu and Ilmarinkatu.
