Ibsen 2010 International Grants were initiated by the Norwegian Government three years ago and they are given to international projects that are focusing upon Henrik Ibsen’s work. The grant wants to encourage the critical discourse regarding existential or social themes referring to Ibsen.
The capital assign to it amounts to the sum of 1.000.000 Norwegian crowns (about 125.000 Euros). The grant can be given to individual persons, to organizations or to cultural institutions.
Ibsen International Grants are offered annually, and the applications are analyzed by a specialized jury. Last years, they were offered to artists and organizations from Africa, Europe. North America and Australia.
The presentation of the winning projects takes place in Ibsen’s hometown, Skien, Norway, in Sptember 2010, and it will take place concomitantly with Ibsen International Conference from Skien.
The application must be sent until April 15, 2010.
The organizers desire to receive as many project propositions as possible from the entire world.
