Stravinsky’s monumental opera-oratorio from 1927 is counted among the greatest operas of the twentieth century. During the 2011 Bergen International Festival it will be performed in full stage version in main venue Grieghallen, with the Norwegian Eirik Stubø as its director.

On the final day of the 2010 festival, Per Boye Hansen launched a new project. From next year the final days of the festival will be devoted to a grand festival for string players in the spirit of Ole Bull.
