Cancer is the second leading cause of infant mortality in Romania. Each ear, approximately 500 new cases are diagnosed. There are 500 souls that, statistically speaking, have a chance of healing between 30% and 60 %. Their lives depend on our attitude. We can give them the chance to live, to have a normal and childhood, the chance to step, with confidence, on the road that each big person has to walk! We mustnt forget that the cancer diagnose for children involves a series of high costs, costs for which subsidies are missing. A major part of the medicines that could cure cancer arent available on the Romanian pharmaceutical market.
The needs of children suffering from cancer are numerous- not only money for diagnosis and treatment, but also the need of affection, play therapy programs and the resources for food and daily hygiene products.
